Lunnoa Automate is developed and operated by Lunnoa GmbH, domiciled in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The platform itself runs entirely within the customer's own infrastructure (self-hosted) — we do not operate a shared SaaS environment. There is no central Lunnoa cloud where customer data is processed.

As a self-hosted platform, Lunnoa Automate is deployed inside the customer's environment: on-premises servers, Swiss-based cloud infrastructure, EU-based cloud infrastructure, or any private cloud the customer controls. Lunnoa GmbH has no access to customer data or agent runs after deployment.

The platform is model-agnostic by design. Customers connect the large language models (LLMs) of their choice: proprietary closed-source models (such as those from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google via their enterprise APIs), open-source models self-hosted by the customer, or models served from Swiss or EU-based infrastructure.

In addition to language models, the platform integrates vector databases for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), document parsing pipelines, and a structured agent-orchestration layer that controls how models are invoked, which data they can access, and how outputs are validated and routed.

Lunnoa GmbH does not develop or operate foundation models. All LLMs used within the platform are sourced externally: either from established commercial providers via secure enterprise APIs, or from the open-source ecosystem self-hosted by the customer. The choice of model provider rests entirely with the customer.

Model behaviour is controlled through structured prompting, system instructions, retrieval augmentation (RAG), and agent-level governance rules configured within the platform. Lunnoa GmbH does not fine-tune foundation models. Customers who wish to use fine-tuned or custom models may connect them via the platform's model-provider interface.

Because Lunnoa Automate is fully self-hosted, all data — prompts, documents, agent outputs, audit logs — stays inside the customer's environment. There is no telemetry sent to Lunnoa GmbH. Customers retain full ownership and control of their data at all times. This architecture is intentional: it is the structural reason why enterprise and regulated-industry customers choose Lunnoa Automate over cloud-only alternatives.

The platform includes built-in enterprise controls: role-based access control (RBAC), SSO/SCIM integration, full audit trails, and agent-level execution logs. Every AI action taken by an agent is traceable. Business teams build and configure agents; IT and compliance teams set the guardrails and review logs. The combination is designed to make AI deployment auditable and governable, not just fast.
